Call the DC office, ask for the person who handles trade. Tell them you live in, or work in, or handle cargo for companies in their Congressional District
Tell them that ocean carriers that carry exports and imports, are rendering extremely difficult and costly to ship cargo, that west coast ports are clogged and dysfunctional. The carriers and marine terminals are imposing massive charges on you, your truckers, exporters and importers.
Ask the Congressional staffer to simply call or email the Commissioners, asking what they are doing to protect their Congressperson’s constituent customs brokers, freight forwarders, exporters and importers who are being injured by problems at the ports and international shipping.
 We are glad to organize a draft message, with talking points and distribute to you by early next week, when Congressional staff will be back, after Thanksgiving.
