CBFANC Customs Committee Meets With SF CBP Port Director

Discussions with ADP Brown and AFT Batt:
 

• CBP agreed to and assisted with our well-received CBP-FDA One Refusal Initiative on March 23^rd 1:30 p.m. webinar.    

 

• The CES bid was discussed and work at new CES is in process to move forward. 

 

• Even with Covid, CBP has not experience and delays. They have maintained staff levels during this time and conducting Vacis exams daily.  Terminal provides the list of containers and the CBP goal is to complete exams same day as staged and available.*

 

• There is a drop box and electronic date/time stamp on 1^st floor at Customs House, to the right side of the elevator. Trade community can submit documents, checks and correspondence using the drop box. The entry unit on the 2^nd floor is open two days  week – Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am to 4:00pm and staffed by one or two people.  If door does not open, can access from room 205.

 

• Broker Management Office is conducting Broker Performance Reviews via on line.
