CBFANC Annual Meeting Held Virtually, December 10, 2021Susan Ransom (SSA) advised that the new “dwell time fee,” will start on December 20th. There is hope that an electronic payment method will soon be available and that everyone should check b58.tideword.com for updates.Michael Beokboel (Flexport) announced that he is retiring from the CBFANC board after many years. He has moved to the Pacific Northwest. He stressed that the most important message he can convey to members is that they should attend the PCC Mission to DC, which he found to be very beneficially professionally and personally. Mindy Li (Megabrokers), CBFANC Agency Committee chair, said that she learned a lot in her first year on the board, and was gratified by serving the community. Jim McNamee (Flexport) has been in our industry for 20 years and in 2019 moved from Philadelphia to San Francisco. He plans to be an active CBFANC member in 2022. PCC Logistics was represented by at least five employees—Daniel Serrato, Bryce Leon, plus Ramona, Luis and Eduardo--at the meeting, and they expressed their gratitude for the partnership they have formed with brokers and forwarders. Lily Pang (U-Freight America) Renata Pearson (CCRA), Angela Aaron (WIT) and Bill Kebler (CBIFFWS) each offered brief comments about their engagement with CBFANC and their hopes for the future. Avalon was represented by Briana Parker, Diedre Hudson and Robin Reynolds. Deidre said that Avalon was glad to be part of the association, and that they hoped everyone will have a Happy Holiday season. Michael Ramirez (Launch Port Logistics) expressed hope for a better 2022 and “let’s get past the pandemic!” Amen to that!!!! ![]() | |
